Position Summary

The Receiving Technician is to ensure there is a seamless process between delivery and storage of the restaurant and bakery’s goods. The Receiving Technician works under the direction of the restaurant’s management team and oversees the stockroom and storage areas of the restaurant and bakery, receiving orders directly and managing their distribution to ensure adequate inventory levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operates tow-motor per safety standards.
  • Checks mailbox for the days' purchase orders.
  • Fills requisitions for Restaurant and Bakery.
  • Receives and verifies quantities of all deliveries against purchase orders and notifies appropriate member of management promptly of any discrepancies
  • Requires driver to note any shortage adjustment on delivery receipts prior to signing.
  • Places all stock in proper storage locations in a timely manner.
  • Rotates all food supplies.
  • Sends all invoices, delivery receipts and completed purchase orders to office daily.
  • Picks up supplies off premises as needed.
  • Maintains all stockrooms and storage areas per Company standards.
  • Removes all empty skids, trash, etc. from stockrooms on a daily basis.
  • Cleans all stockrooms and storage areas on a regular schedule.
  • Distribute supplies from storage areas to points of use as requested by appropriate staff members efficiently.
  • Rotate and organize supplies at points of use.
  • Completes a regular inventory of supplies in specific work areas as directed by management.
  • Report any shortages of requested supplies immediately to staff members who ordered them.
  • Provides scheduled checks on all fountain syrups and solar salt and refills as necessary.
  • Provides necessary maintenance on tow-motor for maximum efficiency.
  • Accepts and completes other responsibilities as directed by the Kitchen Manager.

  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner as well as skillfully gather and analyze information.
  • Abilit to follow safety protocols
  • Speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Willingness to explore ways to improve and promote quality; demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; and maintain compliance with legal and regulatory aspects.
  • Observe safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to foster a teamwork environment across all teams.
  • Strong ability to oversee and manage to ensure quality of guest experience.
