Position Summary

The Administrative Liaison is responsible for facilitating communication and cooperation through a close working relationship internally within our team and company, and also externally with a multitude of people and organizations. The Restaurant Liaison is responsible for preparing the employee schedule for all departments in the restaurant, providing administrative assistance to all levels of management for document preparation related to management approved training, employee workshops, policy documents, internal/external restaurant communications and other administrative activities for the restaurant. The Restaurant Liaison will also be in charge of building a community presence and coordinating initiatives under direction of management.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinating and implementing employee scheduling based on business and employee needs and reviewing with management to maintain guest service levels
  • Creating and publishing electronic scheduling calendars.
  • Providing logistical information regarding routine and non-routine schedule changes to all departments
  • Coordinating necessary distribution of documents with managers and employees
  • Facilitating communication internally between management and employees, externally with organizations as needed
  • Performing data entry of timekeeping paperwork
  • Providing quality service to external and internal clients via written and verbal conversations
  • Performing miscellaneous administrative duties including typing, filing, copying and answering phones as necessary
  • Ability to travel within 50 miles of restaurant as needed to source and build community ties
  • Creating, coordinating and executing community partnership initiatives with management approval
  • Finding charitable event opportunities within the community for the restaurant and presenting to management for approval
  • Coordinating and planning charitable events for the restaurant at the direction of management
  • Strengthening community ties by increasing community presence through outreach, events and relationship building
  • Working with local schools, organizations and churches to inform them of fundraising opportunities
  • Exercising judgment within your authority to assume responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results impacting staff scheduling, events and quality of service within each functional department of the restaurant
  • Tracking uniform inventory and purchasing uniform items.
  • Reception support in answering phone calls and preparing nametags.
  • Provide monthly reports on tardies, absences, and call-offs.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Understanding of how to meet employees where they are at while maintaining positive company culture, policies and company core purpose and core values in the workplace
  • Ability to follow safety protocols
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) and all related restaurant specific programs including but not limited to, electronic scheduling, timekeeping system and restaurant related software
  • Excellent computer and keyboard skills
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management, employees, other business units and businesses/non-profit organizations within the community
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate events and meetings for the restaurant
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality as directed

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
